2013 Petite Sirah Reserve
Awards
Silver, 2018 SF Chronicle Wine Competition
Tasting Notes
A full-flavored Rhone-style red, this Petite Sirah wine needs to unfold in the glass where deep hues of purple and red reflect the density of the wine. The nose reveals alluring, sexy violet and red fruit flavors that awaken the senses. Black current and blueberries dominate the palate, with back notes of anise, black and white pepper and cardamom. This wine has been aged for 2 years in oak barrels and 2 years in bottle and can be further aged for many years, if you can resist drinking it right away!
Appellation: Redwood Valley
Alcohol: 14.9%
2015 Rosé
Tasting Notes
A beautiful wine, this rare dry rose is made exclusively from Petite Sirah grapes. A clear bright pink with touches of red, the wine shows a fragrant bouquet of white flowers. Inherent to the varietal, we find strong character and structure, and the refreshing crisp acidity balances vibrant notes of asian pear and quince that stay long in the mouth.
Food pairing: light red meats, grilled white meats, fish.
Appellation: Redwood Valley
Alcohol: 13.5%
2015 Port
Awards
Gold, 2018 Mendocino Fair Wine Competition
88 points, Wine Enthusiast
Tasting Notes
This ruby-style port wine is a young, early-drinking port. The Petite Sirah varietal makes a robust and versatile port that shows wonderful rich flavors. The deep dark red colored wine exhibits a bouquet of fruity aromas followed by hints of oaks and leather.
Food paring
This port can be paired with an afternoon snack of flavorful cheeses (Manchego, Roquefort,…) and fruits (figs, pears,…). It is a perfect companion to sweet desserts, and can even be used as an ingredient in desserts (panna cotta, poached pears…) or meat marinade recipes.
